Orpheus, Tolstoy’s novel ‘Anna Karenina’, Wagner’s opera ‘Tristan and Isolde’, Goethe’s loosely autobiographical novel ‘Young Werther’:the arts and literature are full of young lovers killing themselves for passion, or attempting to vanquish death itself. Patrick Süskind, author of the bestselling novel ‘Perfume’, explored the link between Eros and Thanatos in his book On Love and Death.
Inspired by this powerful pairing and with St. Valentine’s Day approaching, The Soul Laundry has curated a fabulous collection of art, prints, and pieces for the coming Spring.
