Description
‘Low Fidelity’ is one of six prints taken from the second volume of Glenn Barr’s “Detroit Rooms”.
With a textured mix of whimsy and sci fi, the “Detroit Rooms” collection further explores the world Barr has been cultivating for years. Featuring his signature style of kinetic paint application that compliments the textured surfaces he chooses to work on. The scenes are combined and captured amazingly in pastel tones, giving the work a subdued and understated look, whilst making the paintings feel more grounded. A blend of dark humour and a penchant for the night life, nubile females fashioned in space gear all with a trashy b-movie sci fi look.
“Rooms is an exhibition of scenarios inspired by a lethargic Detroit. Images of wandering bars & bohemian escapists, electric streets & closing time, space gear & boas, all the while unaffected muses look down from on high.” – Glenn Barr
